Is Steroid Injection for Keloid Safe While Breast Feeding?

Keloids are frequently injected with cortisone to shrink them and reduce discomfort. While we try to minimize the use of any treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding, because the injection puts the medicine right into the scar, it is unlikely to have any systemic effect. To err on the side of caution, I would start with a low concentration of cortisone injection (e.g. 2.5mg/ml) to see if this would work while maintaining the best safety profile.
