I had a lipoma removed from my forehead 3 months ago and my plastic surgeon wishes for me to continue wearing the steri-strip 24hrs. per day for the next few months, even though it appears to be fully healed. What is his reasoning for having me do this?

Lipoma removal and scar support
You should ask your surgeon, he /she is the only one that knows why he/she is using the steri strips for that long.
I assume he is being very prudent and wants to give you a good scar by supporting the scar for a long time.
