Hi, I had a full tummy tuck, breast lift with breast aug, and 2 areas of lipo 8 weeks ago (16th Sep) and I'm feeling fantastic! My question is I still have a lot of weight to lose and a lot of toning up to achieve and I would like to start resistance training 3-5 days a week using resistance bands, along the lines of Tony Horton's resistance training. Do you think at length of time I am healed enough? What about my implants above the muscle? Will band exercise cause a problem for them?

Tummy tuck and exercise

Every Plastic surgeon has his / her opinion and it would depend on the muscle repair done. In general, by 2 months there is a lot of scarring between the muscle repair margins and the overlying skin to allow some gradual straining of the abdominal wall but the healing process continues for as long as 6-8 months after surgery. I would therefore... more
