Can Starlux and LuxIR Laser Treatment Thin out Skin?

About new Laser treatment for stretchmarks (Starlux 1450 and LuxIR), I am 22 years old, and I got the worst stretch marks.
I went to my local dermatolgist, and he says there is nothing I can do until I am done having children. He says when I am finished, I can get a CO2 laser, but he fears if I do that before I'm done having children, it will thin out skin and it will make the stretch marks even worse next time.
Is this new laser going to thin out my skin? Also, I'm from Maryland, and is there anyone close I can go to? What about pricing?
