Can a Stage 4 Skin Melanoma Heal on It's Own?

I was diagnosed last year with a level 3, stage 4 tiny skin melanoma on my left arm. Before surgery two weeks later there was no visible sign of the melanoma on my arm. Surgery was performed on the arm including removal of the lymph nodes under my left arm and no cancer was found.
