My 9 yo son has crowded teeth. Under the request of an orthodontist, we had 4 top baby teeth removed and now he has maybe 1/4 inch space where the teeth used to be. His teeth have come down and shifted back a little bit. I had a consultation with a dentist that uses a crozat appliance to open his mouth so he will have room for his permanent teeth. I had braces in the past and had my bicuspids removed and now I have TMJ because of it. I would like to avoid this for my son.
