So i planned a trip to go visit family and had my surgery a week before. Turns out they had plans for everyone to go out on a pontoon boat and I might be ruining the plans! I wa fold pontoons are a pretty smooth ride and of course I plan to wear the sports bra. Would it be ok???
Answer: Boating after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. A week out is quite early. Always best to be conservative and let things heal before hoping on the boat. Best wishes.

Answer: Boating I would advise not to get on any boat just a week from surgery. First, the movement will be uncomfortable, and could damage your breast. Secondly, you don't want to risk exposure of your breast to lake water. You paid good money for "the girls" and I would suggest taking good care of them. Please follow your surgeon's post operative instructions.

Answer: Can I go on a pontoon boat a week after breast augmentation? Hi. Personally, I would advise against it. Any sudden movement to tseady your self on the pontoon using your uppr body may cause bleeding or displacement of the implant in the nascent pocket. You should heed the advice of your surgeon. Good luck, Dr. PG

Answer: Breast Augmentation Thank you for your question. As each surgeon has their own set of post operative instructions, I would discuss your concerns with your doctor. However, in our practice we advise patients not to submerge the incision in water for at least 4 weeks, this includes bathtubs, swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. With pontoon riding, we may advise against that, as well, as there is a risk for injury to the breasts.Best regards,Dr. Lane F. Smith, MDPlastic SurgeonLas Vegas, NV

Answer: Boating after brast augmentation Thanks for your inquiry. I think you need to ask your sugeon this question. If you were my patient I would so no way. Being in a boat can involve rough conditions-like the wake of other boats, sudden acceleration, wet slippery surfaces, and remember--anytime you are on a boat and there is a problem---you have to get in the water. All risks I would not want you to take. Watch from the shore would be my advice in good shady place. Good Luck.
