Skin cancer of the face: can IPL still be done
Skin cancers of the face need to be treated, even if they are the "nonspreading" type. While I don't think that having an IPL treatment will effect this area, it is best to deal with your skin cancer first and then work on improving your skin and eliminating any precancerous lesions you may have with skin care, peels, and/or phototherapy.

Non-Spreading Skin Cancer - Can I Have IPL?

IPL should not be used on cancerous pigmented lesions
It is difficult to understand from your question whether you are askin if IPL can be used to treat the skin cancer or whether IPL can be used in a person with a history of skin cancer. So I will answer both questions.
1. IPL cannot be used by itself to treat skin cancer. IPL can remove pigment and redness but does nothing to destroy the malignant cells that make up skin cancer.
