Spreader Graft Complication, 14 Weeks On, How do I Know if I Should be Worried?

Spreadergraft proc perf. Jun11, check up Oct11 all OK. last 4 days an off centre bump has appeared on/below bridge of nose. ENT surgeon and GP unsure of provlem. nasal appears normal. could it be a bone infection. been on antibiotics for 4 days, no relief swelling has not subsided, nor had redness or bruised look. ANy ideas of what is causing problem or expected time for nose to look normal again. Please help?

Bump after rhinoplasty

A small bump after rhinoplasty may be contour irregularities of bone, cartilage, or cartilage grafts that are now evident after the swelling has gone down.

Rhinoplasty revision

It could be an infection but the most likely possibility given the time frame of surgery is that the swelling after surgery has finally resolved sufficiently to allow you to see the edge of the graft. If that is the case you will need some minor revision of the graft but should allow more time before contemplating any revision..
