I had basil cell removal on the top of my scalp. How long after can you wash your hair & is it safe to have your hair colored ?

When I had just the biopsy done my head hurt for days, if this is stitched when done what should I expect pain wise. Also how long after can you wash your hair and is it safe to have your hair colored 5 weeks after procedure. the biopsy was done 1 month ago and it is still scabbed, not sure if this is normal, I could not get into a surgeon for 2 months for next procedure, is there any harm in this time frame.
