Who Specializes in Implant Exchange Reduction of 200ccs or More? (photo)

Presently have 550 cc high profile under muscle. Since my pocket switch from 350 to 550cc can't carry the weight of new implants. My revision specialist who is excellent is suggesting removing the implants and compression since he has only done few cases of reduction this much. He does the internal bra daily but states this is too much of reshaping without guaranteeing complication of some sort requiring another revision. Any suggestions?

Internal bra?

Are you referring to a capsulorrhaphy? This is commonly done for large pockets when exchanging to smaller implants or because the implants are shiftng out laterally.

Be wary of cutely named operations

Hi there- You should know that many (if not all) operations with cute names like 'internal bra' are marketing gimmicks designed to make patients believe that particular surgeon has somehow captured magian in a bottle... Given this fact, I am always suspicious of surgeons who engage in this activity- think about it- surgery is a series of decisions... If the person operating on you has already demonstrated that they are willing to make decisions designed to deceive people in order for... more

See a board certified plastic surgeon for implant exchange

The best approach is replacement with the 300cc implanat and see how the breast shapes around the reduced volume. You already have had one around the nipple breast lift, and waiting will give you the best idea of what step should be next if any. The 'internal bra' is a mystery to many of us.

Removing large implants

If you are planning on removing your implants, and not replacing them,I would suggest not doing anythind at the time of your surgery,This will allow the skin to contract.Once everything has settled down ,several months later ,you will have a far better idea as to what to do,whether you need a lift, smaller implants or other adjustments

Down sizing implants

I'm not sure if when you say you had a pocket switch if you mean the implants were moved to above the muscle and larger. This will play a role in how your breasts feel. If they were moved to above the muscle and made larger, they can feel heavier. Basically to decrease your implant/breast size will most likely involve tightening up the capsule inside but probably having to do some form of a breast lift externally. There is no replacement for an in person exam so the best thing for you to do... more

Breast Augmentation Revisionary Surgery Options?

If so, my question to you will be whether you will be pleased size/appearance of the breasts after removal of the breast implants?
