My son has complex special needs (25 different diagnoses) and we went to the neurologist in the first place because my son didn't seem to be feeling pain, he busted his 2 front teeth and exposed 3 nerves and laughed, one night he put his hand on a hot burner and didn't flinch. The neurologist we saw was a jerk, it seemed like he was afraid of my son, and when we were there he didn't even do an exam on him. Did a MRI of brain and spinal cord. The lipoma is along L3-L7 & brain problems.
