I have had a cyst on my face for around 5 years now. It is directly above my lip in the mustache area under my left nostril. I used to go to the dermatologist to treat it, and the physician would inject it with medicine that would cause it to shrink, but it would soon grow back. I was told that it would have to be surgically removed, and that it may leave a scar. Can I Have this cyst removed from the inside of the mouth( gum area ) to avoid any facial scaring? If not, why?

Most doctors feel uncomfortable treating cysts around the eyes unless they have formal training in eyelid surgery. Your best bet would be to make an appointment with a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon to discuss the condition and see if it can be removed safely in the office....
You can do tattooing over a scar without a problem, however, with subcision and Bellafill you can get long term improvement without the need for a tattoo. Go only to a laser, filler, and scarring expert Best, Dr. Emer.
