How Many Passes Are Typical in SmartXide Laser Treatment?

I have read that some people receive two or more "passes" of the SmartXide DOT laser, or that some use the laser on a more "agressive" setting. I was told that I would only need one SmartXide DOT treatment to achieve the same results as 2 or 3 Fraxel treatments. Can you clarify what questions one should ask the doctor; rather than blindly trust that we are getting our money's worth and/or desired results? I want to correct sun damage on my face and chest, as well as lessen the wrinkles on my face and neck.
