Smart Lipo with an MD Only Option for Calves?

I've been to 2 board certified plastic surgeons and 2 MDs doing Smart Lipo. It's concerning that plastic surgeons don't do Smart Lipo, saying it's no better than the traditional Lipo. The MDs doing Smart Lipo say that the plastic surgeons don't do it because they can't make as much money, which is surprising because my fee quotes for traditional Lipo were about a third of the cost of Smart Lipo with anesthesia. This doesn't make sense. My problem is that my greatest area of concern is my calves, which the plastic surgeons will not touch. Is Smart Lipo with an MD my only option?
