Small Hole-2 Weeks Post Op with Internal Pain

I had breast impants 2 weeks ago. I noticed a small hole on my lower left incision. It's located near the end of the anchor. I cannot see any stitch poking out, but it does have pus material in it. Of course, I am sore around this area but I also have deep pain, especially if I breathe in deeply. Pls adv.

Postop issues are best managed by your surgeon.

Although this may seem like a small issue, you should schedule to see your surgeon. This forum is a good reference for general material about plastic surgery, but if you feel you are having a complication from a recent surgery, why would you post online rather than call your surgeon? Close follow-up and bringing items of concern to your surgeon's attention are all parts of the doctor-patient relationship.

Thank you for the question. The “hole” you are experiencing is usually related to a superficial stitch ( for example stitch abscess). it is most likely unrelated to your “deep pain”. Small hole after reduction/lift

Quite commonly the spot you mention if it is on the lateral most portion of the wound closure is where a drain is often brought out. That is, if one was used. Not being at your surgery it is hard to say. If there is drainage or as you say pus, then a visit with your doctor seems urgent.

Hole in incision with pus-see your surgeon ASAP

Dear Vienna, altough I don't want to alarm you I do think you should see your surgeon as soon as possible. While it may be something very minor, I want to make sure it is not something that could involve the implant. Very often at the T junction there can be some minor skin loss which will heal on its own withjout any problem. I want you to make sure that's all it is. Call your plastic surgeon and set up a follow up appointment. Good luck, from Dr.... more
