Can Small Amount of Blood Be in Corner of Eye when Stitches in the Lower Lid Dissolve?

When stitches on inside of lower lids start to dissolve, can drops of blood appear in corner of eye?

Healing eyelids and absorbable sutures

Dear New Jersey, it is difficult to tell exactly where you are describing these drops of blood. if you are referring to absorbable sutures inside your eyelid after a blepharoplasty, then the process of the suture dissolving occurs in the first week or less. When the knot and suture come free, a small drop would be normal. If the eyelid continues to bleed or you are concerned, please call your surgeon's office.
