Finesse rhinoplasties: Possible to Slightly Alter the Nose with Rhinoplasty?

Hello, I am strongly considering Rhinoplasty because I feel that my nose is a little too large for my small eyes and my other features, however, everyone says my nose is fine and that I don't need a nose job, and if I got one, that it should be the slightest of changes. Is it possible to get what some call "finesse rhinoplasties?" I'm worried that by wanting to slightly alter my nose, it may be worse after surgery! Thanks :)

Subtle rhinoplasty is possible.

You should look for a surgeon who is very experienced and does this type of nose. Many surgeons overdo noses that is why you see so many. It does not have to be that way. Careful evaluation of the surgeon's work(not computer imaging) is the best way.

Rhinoplasty for very small subtle changes may not be worth risks and healing process

It is important to have realistic expectations and goals prior to undergoing elective cosmetic procedures. If only a very small subtle result is contemplated with the rhinoplasty procedure, it might be best to just forgo the procedure. Quite frankly, it is not going to be worth the risks and the healing process to undergo a very subtle change.

Slight changes can be made with minor or "finesse" Rhinoplasty

Hi alexandrawr, Rhinoplasty is not one operation, but rather many potential operations that modify the nose. Rhinoplasty surgery is tailored to each patient based on their specific nasal & facial anatomy, along with their personal goals. Rhinoplasty can be minor or "finesse", with some procedures even performed under local anesthesia. Speak with a couple rhinoplasty surgeons in your area. Many plastic surgeons will perform preoperative computer simulation during... more

Finesse Rhinoplasty

It is a reasonable goal to have refinement with rhinoplasty surgery, not major changes or reductions, when the surgery is done by an experienced surgeon. As I have said many times, the surgery should be individualized to meet the goals and satisfy the expectations of each patient. Carefully evaluate the results of surgeons during your consultations.

Finesse rhinoplasty

Interesting choice of words. I like to say a natural looking nose.  Certainly this could be possible.

Slightly Alter the Nose with Rhinoplasty

Yes but you need in person evaluations with a boarded surgeon. I do not want you to think computer imaging is how you will look. It only gives an idea not fact. Trust in the surgeon is the real issue. Find a surgeon you feel as ease with. From MIAMI Dr. Darryl j. Blinski, 305 598 0091`

Small changes in rhinoplasty

Success in rhinoplasty is always through small changes in the nasal shape and form. All rhinoplasty should be considered finesse and changes of one or two millimeters can have a nice impact. There is nothing wrong with the slightest of changes if the result meets your expectation. The easiest way to begin is through computer simulation to try out the changes you have in mind. Yes but....

Hi, You need to have a good surgeon do computer imaging so you can see for yourself what you may look like after a finesse rhinoplasty and see if its an improvement of your nose and face or not.  You also need to see if its worth the cost and risk. I have done finesse rhinoplasties that literally took 12-15 minutes to perform and other rhinoplasties that took 2-3 hours.  The end result is what counts and if it improves your face.  Many people may say you dont... more
