Skin Grafting or Surgery for Stretch Mark Removal?

Is some sort of a skin grafting or treatment in which skin is grown an option for severe stretch marks? Or is it more possible to remove stretch marks on the legs, hips and thighs via surgery like a Tummy Tuck?

No skin graft for stretch marks

Unfortunately stretch marks cannot be removed by any non-surgical method. The only way they can be removed is through surgery. Stretch marks are caused because the skin is stretched beyond its capacity to recoil. Its like a rubber band that is over stretched and can never regain its original shortened length. This type of surgery on other parts of the body may yield scars that are unacceptable. I would not advise skin grafting for this issue

Stretch marks are permanent

Other than in the case of a tummy tuck where stretch marks can be removed along with extra skin, there is no way to remove them on other parts of the body.  They would never be totally removed and the scars would probably be worse than the stretch marks unfortunately.
