Is Skin on Cheeks Likely to Shrink Back After Micro-liposuction?

I'm a 22 year old woman who had fat transfer to my cheeks 10 months ago. I was very distraught over the results as they were unnatural looking and looked like "chipmunk cheeks". I decided to have the fat micro-liposuctioned. Its been 6 months since I've had the second procedure and although the fat is no longer there, the skin still seems to have retained that rounded shape that I so largely disliked. My question is, can I expect the skin to eventually shrink back to the way it was?

Liposuction of Cheeks?

Thank you for the question. I'm sorry to hear about your less than satisfying surgical procedures. I would certainly suggests that you stay away from any other procedures at this point. Unfortunately, only time will tell how much further skin contraction will occur ( the majority will occur within the first year after the procedure). Best wishes.

Cheek Liposuction After Fat Injections

Now that you are six months after the cheek liposuction defatting procedure, you should be seeing the final shape results. In other words, the skin has likely shrink down as much as it is going to. Fat injections distribute the fat throughout the cheek area, often in areas and in a distribution pattern that can make it hard to really remove it. At this point, I would leave the area alone for a year after your liposuction procedure and re-evaluate. There may be little else to do. more

Face issues

I think at this point, you should back off of any other treatments and let the body heal. Couldn't comment on how yoru skin will react without seeing you and before and afters. It is unclear to me why a 22 year old would need fat injections.
