Could Skin Peel a Second Time After Having an Initial VI Peel?

I had a VI peel 6 days ago. I tried not to pick at my skin but did do some gentle picking especially around my mouth and nose. My skin around these areas are dry and tight. It appears my skin is going to peel. I have been using hydrocortiosone cream and the Vi moisturize that my esthitician gave me. I saw my esthitician who said everything appeared to be ok. Overall my skin is blotchy light reddish pink in color. Is this normal? Is there any other moisturizer I should be using?
