Skin is Too Oily with Tazorac?

I have been using Tazorac .1% Gel/Minocycline for several months and it helped my acne with only red marks remaining. However, my face is much too oily that I believe is from the Tazorac.
This is an odd situation as my face has always been normal or too dry (from Benozine Peroxide a while ago.) Could I be using too much Tazorac? Should I switch to Tazorac cream? I have a very important life change in a few weeks and I am trying to figure out how to stop the oilyness without breaking out again. Please respond and thank you!
