What Can Be Done About an Old Skin Graft?

Im white female and my scar takes up most of my calf. I was severely burned 3 years ago and had skin graft surgery, the dictors were very "impressed" with how i healed....i dont know why because it is very visible and i wish i never had the surgery at all. Plus, the donor side (my thigh) i was told would be like a temporary "sunburn" but that have also never looked normal.......what can be done? I would do anything, i just want to go to a fun beach :(
