Harmony XL on Scars - Dead Skin Came off in 2 Days?

My doctor used Harmony XL with 1100 on me. She stacked on my scars. I did not pull on my skin, but I massaged it when I washed my face with Cetaphil once a day. I had some major flaking on Day 2. By Day 3, over 90% of the dead skin already came off. This actually concerns me because I wonder if the longer the dead skin stays on, the more time it has for the new skin underneath to heal? My new skin does not look pink, but I look pretty much just like myself before the treatment.
