Breast Implant Revision: Q&A

Ask a Question

What Size Implant Should I Get Going into my Second Breast Aug?

I was a small 32A, with little breast tissue and a narrow rib cage. Now fitting a C-cup and some B-cups. I got moderately profiled silicone 325cc implants. I decided that i want to have slightly larger implants put in, and i want to fit into more of a full C/small D cup. They look natural, but to me they almost look like they sit too low/dont project enough above my nipple. Any suggestions on what to tell my surgeon to fix this without getting that "super fake" look? Im also 5'2, 110lbs. thanks!

Size of implants for second breast augmentation

I do not agree at all with Dr. Greenwald.. Do not get a lift (matopexy). You have a very good result right now, with no visible scars. Even the best healed scars from a mastopexy would be visible on you. If you want to go larger with the implants, I would go up by about 50-75 mL. I do not recommend implants greater than 400 mL for someone of your size. When your surgeon does the second operation, ask him not to release the inferior or lateral pocket. This will... more

Going Larger in Implant Size

Your result is very nice. I do understand that you want to go larger without looking "too big". I do not believe you need a breast lift ( as 1 doctor has stated). I do this procedure very frequently and the best way (in my opinion) is for the patient to find photos of sizes that you like and take them to your surgeon and ask what he/she recommends to achieve that goal. This is what I do with my patients and it seems to work very nicely in achieving their... more

Secondary Breast implant in Atlanta

Victoria, you photos show an excellent result. You do have some bottoming out of your implants. However, if you must get the second augmentation for upper pole fullness, consider a high profile implant. A bigger implant may create more problems for you in the future. Of course your Plastic Surgeon should be the best person to recommend the best implant for you. I would not recommend breast lift at this time. Good luck Dr Okoro

Sizing up with a secondary breast augmentation

As seen in your photos you have an excellent result that may work in and get even better over time. If you are convinced that you wish a fuller look you have to consider an implant 100cc larger to make a visible difference. To keep the projection point centered on the nipple we would suggest a moderate profile implant keeping the fold just where it is with the larger volume and diameter implant, no lower to add upper fill. Surgeons hate to mess with something that looks so well, so be... more

What Size Implant Should I Get Going into my Second Breast Aug?

Thanks for posting the photos. Your result is excellent. To add some upper pole volume I might consider fat transfer.

Replacing silicone breast implants

Based on your photos it appears as though you have a very good result. If you are interested in changing the size, I would not go much larger, maybe 400 cc and consider switching to a moderate plus or high profile implant shape. This may give you the result you are seeking. Discuss this in great detail with your plastic surgeon prior to changing your implants. Best wishes, Dr.Bruno

Secondary breast implant surgery

Consider your options carefully. A couple of things to consider. First, the dimension and the style of the implats are more imprtant than the volume. The higher the proportion of the final breast that is made up of the implant and the more wide the implant is compared to your natural breast, the more "unnatural" you might become, including risks and side effects of asymmetry and rippling. Since breast augmentation is a great procedure but inherently an "imperfect"... more

Secondary Breast Augmentation

I agree, you have a very nice result. You should be very cautions of messing with a good result. However, you do decide to go larger, then I would not suggest more than 400cc and a moderate plus profile. However, the larger you go, the more the risk of looking fake. Good Luck.

Breast augmentation revision

You have a great result. Why mess with it? But if you must (and are willing to take on the cost and the risks), you should stick with your own doctor who did a great job and ask them what they recommend for you. It should have the same base width as you have now and be either moderate plus or high profile. Good luck.

Breast Implant Revision

From the posted pictures, I BELIEVE you should not cosider implants larger than 400 ml. ( addind two cups ) to the size of your breasts before you had your first augmentation . Not displaying you profile views , it is hard to say if you need implants with higher profiles . It seems your implants are sitting a little low or you started to undergo "botomming out" . During your revisional surgery you may ask your plastic surgeon to reconstruct your inframammary fold & put... more
