I just did my fractional co2 laser. After I washed my face with the cleanser, there were slight bleeding in multiple areas of my face. Furthermore, little red dots also appeared. Then I went to research and realised that my cleanser is not suitable at all! It is anti-acne cleanser and contains acid and fragrance! But I was only told by my doctor to avoid alochol skin products! So what should I do now? I am so worried of the possible side effects!

In our practice, we have patients keep the area moist and well hydrated. Every practice is different. If you are having continuous dryness, you may consider using a ceramide cream such as Elevase Moisture Booster once the skin has epithelialized. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

We usually follow up CO2 with PDL or pulse dye laser. This laser does not break skin, but targets the blood vessels- this, in time reduces redness. I usually start PDL 6-8 weeks after CO2. You may need 2-4 sessions. CheersDr Davin Lim Laser DermatologistBRISBANE, Australia.
