Breast Implants: Q&A

Ask a Question

Are my Silicone Implants Going to Look Symmetric?

I have a breast augmentation three weeks ago. I have silicone. They were asymetric before, it was the reason why I did this. The doctor put 200cc in each breast. Maybe he should puted 200cc and 220 in the smaller one? The doctor excuse is that nobody has symetric breast and he said my chest bone were different that was the reason why my breast look different. My breast size was 34B now is 34D. I am afraid that one is going to look very small and have different shapes as right now?

Are my Silicone Implants Going to Look Symmetric

Are my Silicone Implants Going to Look Symmetric? No one can predict the future. Especially with biology. Therefore give it at least 6-9 months and then weigh the risks of a revision.

Breasts after implants

I usually place the same size and shaped implant in both breasts unless there is a huge difference between the two to begin with.  I think the shapes look better that way than changing the overall dimensions of the one.  I make paitents aware of their asymmetry to begin with, and of course, it is always their choice.

Post op breast asymmetry

# weeks is too early to tell for sure.  The doctor is correct however, there is no perfectly symmetrical breast either pre or post op.  Be patient, it will improve over time most likely, up to a year after surgery.
