Pain and Swelling Years After Breast Augmentation

I've had Silicone Gel Implants for 4 years now with out a problem. 2 days ago, I slept on my implant and woke up with pain, swollen, and a red dotty rash. What do you think is wrong?

Notify your plastic surgeon.

You should call your doctors office right away incase you have a rupture or an infection.  A rupture can be identified by an MRI or an ultrasound.  An infection may be treated with an antibiotic.  There isn't any advice that can be offered to you via the internet without a personal examination.   see video

See your surgeon

Hello, You might have an implant rupture. You might have an infection. This is not something to try to figure out yourself. It may need treatment. See your surgeon.

See your plastic surgeon

Hi Jessica Consult with a boar-certified plastic surgeon (or the equivalent in Mexico). A sudden rash may be unrelated to the implant, or it may reflect underlying problems (including a rare breast cancer). Without doing a physical exam, it is hard to give you an answer, but seeing your plastic surgeon soon would be my advice. Best of luck.
