Is there a difference between the Mentor CPG and the Allergan 410 semi solid cohesive silicone gel implants? Are they both FDA approved and if not when might they be FDA approved?

From the patient perspective, they're very similar as well
Just to alleviate any fear you might have, both companies are well regarded and offer essentially identical warranties. Unless there is a promotion by one manufacturer or the other, I would use whichever device your surgeon typically uses. The only devices I might watch out for are PIP implants which aren't widely used but are French and seem to have a higher failure rate.

Mentor and Allergan
To me, I think that Mentor and Allergan products are very similar. Each doctor uses one or both for varying reasons. Most of the time, it has to do with the service that they get from the company. If they have a good experience with one, they probably with go with that company. Otherwise, I think they are about the same.
