IPL complications can be avoided with proper testing and preparation

Side effects are minimized by proper testing of various light intensities. Complications included hyperpigmentation, blistering/scarring, failure of the desired result versus the brown and red pigments. Hypopigmentation with stamping from the footprint of the IPl could occur in aggressive treatments in tanned and olive skinned persons seeking IPl treatments. Discomfort during the treatment is usually well tolerated with cooling.
