Looking Good With or Without Makeup

The more important question to ask is, "How do I look - and would I benefit from makeup?" Also ask, "Are my eyes and lips balanced with my hair and body frame and are they the central focus in my overall presentation?" If not then haul out the beauty tools.

That said, simply aim for even skin tone, properly weighted and coloured eyebrow and eyelashes, with lips and cheeks complimentary in colour tone to your ensemble, which should be complimentary to your skin, eye and hair colouring.

Now if you don't need the trowel approach, protection for your skin is still essential so apply something protective. A moisture tint with sunblock may be enough or a soft powder or mineral powder with appropriate SPF works nicely too.

For those with exceptional lashes and brows, a sweep of clear mascara over both will add that subtle touch of good grooming, and then top lips with a balm for business and gloss for glam.

Bottom line: Balance is the key so use whatever you need to - or not - to achieve the perfectly balanced presentation for whatever you're aiming for.

Even women with great skin need a little help! Look for cosmetics (like Raw Color) that contain skin revitalizing active botanicals that actually improve the condition of your skin over time. That way, you can better protect your skin from environmental attack (those pesky free radicals!) with antioxidants and help firm, tighten, and retain your skin’s moisture content...So you can maintain the gorgeous skin you’ve got now!

For a really natural look, I suggest using Mineral Makeup or just spot covering with concealer (like Raw Color Perfect Balance Concealer and Highlighter Trio). And a little mascara and lipstick always create a beautiful, polished face.

For women who do not wear makeup, here are some known facts about women and makeup:

Studies conducted in America and Europe confirm that women who wear makeup earn more money and advance faster than their colleagues who don't.

Several years ago, one corporation funded a study to find out the effect that makeup and grooming had on women at work. Photographs and resumes were sent out to top personnel officers; in some of the photos women wore makeup and in some they did not. The officers were asked which of the women they would hire and how much would they pay, assuming the need for a professional with their qualifications. The results showed that not only were the candidates wearing makeup more likely to be offered jobs, but also they were offered salaries between 20 and 25 percent higher than the un-made-up women.

Makeup for professional women is as important as their outfit. The good news is that an appropriate makeup is one that is well blended and looks minimal. Women who wear too much makeup or too garish colors are considered to have as poor an image – or worse – than women who wear none.

if you do not feel like you should wear make up, don't. I think of it as a mask, "omg! blemish?? -cover-!" ... infact some women won't leave the house without their "face" on.. it's like hiding yourself behind powders and the such..o.o
