As mature women we need to take a new look at beauty. It is very different from youthful beauty. Therefore it demands a different approach. Where youthful beauty is unconscious, mature beauty is knowing and refined.

Screen legend Sophia Loren is 73 today and most men still consider her the most beautiful woman. In her book, Women and Beauty, she says her approach to beauty "begins not with the face or figure but with the mind. If you can learn to use your mind as well as you use your powder puff, you will become truly beautiful.”

I recall reading this a few years ago while starting up my business as an Image Consultant and not only did I agree with what she wrote, but I was extremely happy to see that she was aware of the power of the mind.

I look back today at when I first began my personal journey and I can tell you today, I have reaped many benefits and rewards, one of which is that today I feel and look young for my age. I just celebrated my 50th birthday in October and just a few weeks later I met up with a woman whom I was considering as a potential business associate. She said, “I thought you were only 35 years old.” I smiled and thanked her – music to my ears. When I told her my age she gasped and said, “You got me... You are certainly aging beautifully.”
