How to Best Shorten Vertical Nose Length and Optimize my Facial Features? (photo)

I've had surgery in june 2011 in order to reduce the appearance of my nose. While I'm generally satisfied with the results, I feel the surgery left something to be desired. My main concern is the vertical length of my nose. During the surgery the tip was raised somewhat to ameliorate this however, I would see the length reduced further. Now I understand that I have a slightly longer face, so any tips as how to improve the general balance and symmetry of my facial features would be appreciated!

Shortening a long nose

Additional views of your nose would be very helpful in assessing your nasal features. Nasal tips can be elevated but it's hard to say what would be best for you using the submitted photos only.

Optimize my Facial Features?

We will need better pictures to be able to say if your nose is too long or otherwise. However, one thing you can do to reduce the appearance of a long face is shorter hair on the top to decrease the attention to the overall facial length. Good luck

How to shorten nose length

The nose can appear shorter or longer depending upon the angle at which a photo is taken. A side view would help as well to make a better assessment. However if you feel your nose is longer than you would like it would be possible to shorten it further if your surgeon felt he could do so in an aesthetically pleasing way. It would be advisable to wait at least 9-12 months from your first surgery before proceeding. See several surgeons before committing to a revision procedure. Best of Luck... more
