Severe Pain in Arm 8 Months After Liposuction?

Hello and so sorry about your discomfort. It does sound like to me that you are having pain from injured nerves following your procedure. I would recommend that you massage the areas that hurt in order to desensitize them and allow the nerves to heal/regenerate. Peripheral nerves heal at a rate of 1mm per day when injured. Thus, it is going to take time for your recovery. Massage helps to desensitize the injured nerve and will eventually lead to less pain when stimulated. The fact that the long sleeves help points to this fact. Get some coco butter and massage the areas where you had the UAL daily. You should start to feel a difference in one to two weeks.

It is hard to say with 100% certainty but it sounds like you have nerve pain.  Nerve pain is usually described as burning, shooting, sharp, electrical shocks, pins & needles, numbness.

Does this sound familiar?  If so, it is likely nerve pain, which is more common with UAL than with traditional liposuction.

Give your doctor a call in the AM, tell him the exact nature and location of the pain, what makes it better and worse.  Ask him to instruct you on desensitization exercises.  You should take a more active role at this time.
