Severe Pain in Right Implant when Sneezing Coughing. Constant Pain in Sternum and Chest Wall

I had 350 cc silicone implants placed sub-muscular about two months ago. Everything has been great until a week ago when my sternum became very sore radiating into what feels like the area behind my right implant. When I cough or sneeze my entire right implant is in severe pain. What could this be ? Both breast are soft and symmetrical. Could the pain be the beginning of contracture ?

Not likely a contracture...

It sounds like a muscle strain, but there are some more ominous things that it could be (blood clot, rib fracture, bleeding).  Certainly see our plastic surgeon and make sure that it's nothing serious, but you are still healing and may do things from time-to-time that hurt.  Good luck!

Chest pain after breast augmentation

With a submuscular placement and the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like you may have torn or strained your pectoralis muscle covering your implant. This doesn't indicate that you are having a catastrophic problem, but I would recommend seeing your surgeon to discuss your symptoms and develop a plan for treatment. Hope you feel better soon.
