First you need to see your surgeon-some steps must be taken to protect your eye from exposure.

Causes of Eyelid Retraction after Lower Blepharoplasty and Midface Lift::

  • Lax Lower Eyelid Pre op
  • Too Much Lower Eyelid Skin Removed
  • Nerve Injury During Midface lift

Correction:

  • Temporary Tarsorraphy-Partial Lid Closure suture to protect eye

  • Possible Cheek Suspension

You need to see your surgeon and make sure your eye is protected. If you cannot see your doctor seek consultation with a Plastic Surgeon experienced in Eyelid Surgery
