"Piggy Nose" 1 Week After Septorhinoplasty

I had septorhinoplasty a week ago to remove a hump and the cast is comming off tommarrow, although my surgeon said that he was not going to alter the bottom of my nose i.e the tip and nostril etc... as there was nothing wrong with them, when i look in the mirror the nostrils are wider and lifted making the nose look piggy. the whole nose looks much smaller. I am upset as i did not want him to change the bottom of my nose,or make it smaller, my smile looks wierd a bit stretched and evil?

To soon after rhinoplasty surgery to determine results

Wait until after your splint is removed and you give some time for the swelling to dissipate. Rhinoplasty surgery is one of the surgeries that requires some time before you see your ultimate result. The first three months the majority of the swelling goes down and then over the next seven months the rest of the swelling dissipates. Hopefully this is just a case of swelling and that your results will be what you desired. Best regards!
