Did you like Sculptra for wrinkles or sunken cheeks?

Is sculptra the best choice for deep wrinkles and sunken cheeks or is it overkill?  sculptra is soooo expensive and appears to require lots of injections (I'm guessing this means pain too!!!).

Even if you follow the instructions of massaging after injections, the bumps will still appear and continue to grow. Surgery is the only option and it leaves scars, not to mention that the Doctor cannot get all of the Sculptra out if it is spread in the area and will continue to grow again. Scupltra is crap!

Thank you, Sandchic. Sorry you are experiencing the same thing, but good to know someone else is speaking out. Good luck!

Hi,I had 2 vials of sculptra 8 weeks ago, followed by a further 2 in my lower face 4 weeks after. I'm worried I've wasted my money as I can't see any improvement yet. I'm trying to be patient, but would have expected to see a difference at least from the first injections by now. Has anyone else waited a long time to see any improvement?

I had my first injection of Sculptra 8 weeks ago and am only now seeing the results, which I love. I will be doing my next injections next week and I anticipate I won't need any more than that until I need a touch up in a couple of years. I did the hollows in my cheeks, which from all the reading on sculptra I've been doing is the place where sculptra is the most successful.

Sorry Karen, when I re-read what you said, I realize you are for real. This garbage hurts so badly it has turned me into some angry person, I was not like that prior. It is as if toxic garbage has been injected underneath my face, the infection, the inflammation, has out-grown my facial skin and is screaming to be taken out, removed, and it can't. I have seen approx. seven of the best p.s.'s and derms in a big city. The real mds' cannot help me and are disguised by the entire mess. There is no treatment for this. It is a living hell for $$$'s. These MDs, aren't medical doctors, they just knew how to pass medical examinations. Zero ethical code. The Drug Co. is real special. Think I will call them now and see what they come up with next. It is almost entertaining to watch the drug co. blame the doctor and than the doctor blame the patient. Okay I'm calling now...

Yes, please, please, anyone considering Sculptra - DO YOUR RESEARCH!! I was disfigured AND am now in severe debt bc I was not presentable enough to go to work due to Sculptra. It also made my immune system go into severe allergic rx with several negative side effects. And my doctor was a "trainer"!!!

I think the md who I went to for a consultation about another procedure and than sales pitched me in Sculptra, big profit margin, needs to list his biggest achievement on his business card along with: Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, etc., "Expert in the Art of Deception". I do not even need to look in a mirror to see the damage, I can feel the damage that has been injected under my skin.

I agree, I had injected for 5 months ago, now besides the invisible bumps I have scars forming all over my face, my body does not accepted the crap, and they sell you as harm loss, a wonder.. I am desperate, and all my doctor does is to find excuses for her self!

Hi everyone, I am about to get Sculptra in my chin area right under my lower lip. I have a wonderful plastic surgeon who has done restylaine and botox for me and always on target. My question is would it be a good idea to tilt your head down and have the doctor see where your skin sags? I know when I take a hand mirror and bend forward with my head down you can really see the sagging skin.
