I had a hole on my upper lip as a result of a piercing. I had the scar removed via excision. The surgeon did not think it was necessary to go completely through my lip as he said the back was closed. Now that it has been nearly two months and I still have a crater like scar from the removal, I am concerned. Is it possible that the scar tissue, which feels like a small knot, is pulling the skin inward. I was advised that I would have a tiny line in the place of the hole but this is still a hole?
