Skin edges not adhering in a scar
In order to make the skin edges adhere to each other when the skin heals, two freshly cut edges need to be everted, that is cut edges slightly elevated above the surface of the skin, when they are brought together and sutured. It is difficult but not impossible to do that in this location.
I recommend consulting a board-certified dermatologic or plastic surgeon for an evaluation.
