Scar Removal: Q&A

Best Scar Removal Technique for Lumpy Lip Scar?

What would be the most most effective scar removal technique (best closure type to use) to achieve the best result for removal of lumpy scar on lower lip? I'm concerned about appearance after closure, especially with the skin being pulled upwards when the lip is closed after removal of lump. I'm afraid it could result in a higher/odd looking lower lip vermillion border. Any other alternatives to surgery available?

Lip scars can be improved with layered closure and scar excision

Lumpy scars on the upper or lower lips can be improved with scar excision of the mass followed by layered skin closure.
