Improving scars without surgery
While some scars are amenable to fillers, or CROSS therapy or subcision, and occasionally creams, the type of scar you have would likely respond best to a fractionated laser which would take several treatments. We use the ProFractional laser system which is one type of fractionated laser, but there are others; we have had excellent results in improving scars such as yours.

The laser works by poking little holes in the scar and skin around the scar in order to...

Will silicone sheeting help with scar removal
Silicone gel sheeting helps with hypertrophic scarring or keloids, which are scars that are raised above the surface of the skin. The scar you have is depressed below the surface of the skin (atrophic). The only way of dealing with it is surgical, either excision or laser resurfacing.
