Thank you for your question. Yes, normally we try to hide the tummy tuck scar low enough that it is hidden under a bikini. Sometimes that may not be possible but your surgeon should discuss that with you after a physical examination. Scars can take up to 1 year to mature and fade.

Hiding a tummy tuck scar

Scars vary by individual even when performed by the same plastic surgeon. Have your surgeon discuss and plan the exact placement of the scar and the ability to be concealed beneath bathing suits.
