Will the Scar Post-Op Excision of Scar Tissue Around Umbilical Hernia, Will this Heal Normally? (photo)

My surgeon discovered a small umbilical hernia while I was receiving other cosmetic surgery. She decided to do the hernia repair, and I told her I disliked the naval piercing scar above my navel. She decided to do an elliptical excision of the scar tissue. This is the results. I am only 3 weeks post op, but the scar looks worse than what I had before thus far. There is bulging around the sutures and excess skin at the ends that appear folded over. Is this going to flatten out and heal normally??
