What are My Scar Excision Options After Botched Acid Peel?

I have severely indented scarring as a result of a botched acid peel which literally ate away at my skin. I waited over 10 years for the scars to settle before reluctantly getting Juvaderm. It actually made the scars a little worse. I was told that it's possible it didn't take due to the possible degeneration of fat or scar tissue or something...I've been told that lasers would not help flatten the scars. Is there any downside to having someone cut the scars out and sewing them back together?
