I had what seems to be a folliculitis 6 days ago in one single spot in the tranplanted area ; got prescribed augmentin and fucidin, it got subsided and became less red and smaller in size; but it is still there. I am happy with the amount of early growth in around 11 weeks, but how would it vanish, as I am concerned it would affect hair growth?

We give out hats to our patients for their elective use of them. They are not fancy, just trucker hats but they are clean and new. You can wear a hat anytime, just don't let if rub on the frontal hairline when you wear it.
This can't be definitively answered unless there has been an individual examination. And so I wouldn't comment on wether your surgeon was right or not in declining you on basis of candidacy. However I can elaborate a little on what we consider when we decide upon a patient's eligibility.
