Had revision for cc: capsolectomy, ROUND texture sientras + strattice. At first they were perfect. But a few days later they dropped more. Is this something my surgeon did? Something I did? Or should this be attributed to variables like my thin tissues from 2 surgeries + removal of capsules? I keep saying I will be grateful as long as they don't harden. And I dont want to be greedy, but I cant help being slightly disappointed cuz I thought I would get exactly what I wanted. Do they look too low?
Answer: Breasts always settle after Implant surgery..... Your breasts have definitely settled somewhat as your swelling has begun to subside. But, you are far from done yet. I'm sure you are still swollen. I would recommend a supportive bra, to minimize the swelling and to hold them up as your swelling goes away. The weight of your swelling is also adding to your drooping. Once your swelling is gone, as well as any fluid around your implants, you will hopefully find your breasts in a better position. It sounds like you did the correct surgery! Strattice has been a great solution for capsular contractures in my practice! I think you will have a nice result and will hopefully be very happy.

Answer: Did my boobs drop too much? Based on the two frontal photos, I do not see a difference. You are still early in your healing. Without the benefit of preop photos, I venture to say that a vertical lift done at the same time with a reduction of the very large areolae would've given you a better result. BTW, you can never get "exactly what I wanted". Patients often fail to understand the difficulty in these revision surgeries. As surgeons, we can only work with the tissues you bring us. Maybe this wasn't communicated well during your consultation. The fact that your surgeon had to use Strattice, tells me that your tissues are thin, with loss of elasticity (stretchy) and you tend to form scars. Good luck with your healing, follow your surgeon's advise.

Answer: Breast swelling after breast augmentation Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, it is common to have different women's implants settle at different rates over different periods of time. They will remain high for at least a few weeks. If your pre-existing anatomy has your breast creases or breast folds at different positions, they implants will settle to different places. So your preoperative anatomy has a lot to do with a final result. So does the skill of your plastic surgeon, size of breast implants, saline and silicone settle differently, skin quality and activity levels. You are still early so give it some more time. It may take 2-4 months to really see where you are. Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Brown Northern Virginia Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Are you implants above or below the muscle? If above, this is inevitable. If below, settling is less and not as rapid as you are appreciating. But you should be comparing your before and after photos and using a supportive bra to help yourself heal in the best position possible.

Answer: Implants are settling Hi CaliBlonde, thank you for your question. Without a pre operative baseline picture, it is hard to tell how your breast will settle. Your breast look great. It takes about 3-4 months for implants to completely settle. Best wishes.
