is there a specific type of lipo procedure that is better for getting an hourglass shape? I have lost about 20 lbs which has helped but i no matter what, i'm box/apple shape. I am 5'4" 165, 36" waist. Ideally, i would loose at least 5" from my waist. Is this even possible?

For patients who tend to collect fat inside their abdomen first 'apple shape', this can come as unwelcome news.The silver lining is that the intraagdominal fat that will go way with weight loss is exactly the same as the fat that predisposes to diabetes and heart disease.Once the patient has reached a more ideal weight, a combination of a tummy tuck with facial tightening and liposuction usually gives a transformative result.Overly aggressive liposuction alone by any technique will leave your flanks a lumpy, unrepairable mess.

Answer: Lipo for hourglass shape I agreee, traditional liposuction on waist, lower back and abdomen will definitely get you closer to your goal.However, it´s hard to tell by the pictures you posted if the skin will retract nicely without the need for a TT

Pictures are particularly informing but in general the area sometimes referred to as the flank, waist, or love handle region does especially well with liposuction. The skin adapts nicely to the reduction in volume.
