I got Juvederm Voluma 4 days ago. I got one sringe and the doctor struggled to get the product in my left cheek. On day 3, I went back to my doctor who assessed my left cheek, she felt it was from "deep skin trauma" not an infection but she gave me antibiotics. Today is day 4, although my cheeks aren't as red they still feel very hot and I am applying ice to both cheeks where the needle went in. The rest of my face is fine and I am not in pain although my left cheek is still slightly swollen.

I dont use any numbing on my patients because I use cannulas which limit pain on injections. I suggest you go to someone gentle who does cannulas for fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.
