Is It Safe to Use Safetox After Rhinoplasty with Silicone Bridge?

I had a rhinoplasty with i-shaped silicone bridged and ear & septal cartilage tip 6 weeks ago. I am interested in purchasing a device called safetox that uses electronic impuses to cause muscle inhibition which produces a botox-like result. Is this device safe to use? Or will I never be able to use it since it may lead to infection of my silicone bridge?

Use of Safetox after Silicone Nasal Augmentation

You should not have any problem using the Safetox device on your forehead after placement of silicone in your nose during rhinoplasty. However you should have the approval of your surgeon.

Use of Safetox Following Rhinoplasty With Implant Placement

I would highly recommend you discuss this issue with your rhinoplasty surgeon. That being said, if you were my patient, I would not recommend use of this type of device anywhere inside of several months of having that type of rhinoplasty surgery. It is unlikely the actual muscle stimulation will have an adverse effect on the implant position and healing. But the mechanical effects of the device pushing anywhere near the upper edge of the nasal implant might compromise your long-term result.... more

Is It Safe to Use Safetox After Rhinoplasty with Silicone Bridge?

Hi, As long as the device is not resting on the implant, I dont think it will matter. I think you should consult with your surgeon. Best, Dr.S.

Is It Safe to Use Safetox After Rhinoplasty with Silicone Bridge?

Interesting idea. IMHO, I'd wait for the silicone dorsal graft to be completely syable at 6 months after your Rhinoplasty before using that device. Of course, the plastic surgeon that did your Rhinoplasty is the person you'll have to ask.

Safetox

I don't think a muscle stimulator should have any effect on your siliconebridge. Silicone is inert and the glabellar muscles should not affect the bridge of the nose
